Email notifications from Google Webmaster Tools

Dear Webmaster Tools user,

We know that having a healthy and well-performing website is important to you. To keep you informed about your site's status Webmaster Tools will now automatically send you a notification email if there are critical or important issues that we detect with your site.

We'll only send you email for issues that we think have significant impact on your site's health or search performance which have clear actions that you can take to address. For example, we'll email you if we detect malware on your site or see a significant increase in errors while crawling your site.

For most sites these kinds of issues will occur rarely. If your site does happen to have an issue we cap the number of emails we send over a certain period of time to avoid flooding your inbox.

If you don't want to receive any email from Webmaster Tools you can change your email delivery preferences at https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/preferences.

We hope that you find this change a useful way to stay up-to-date on critical and important issues regarding your site's health.

If you'd like more information about Webmaster Tools and building Google-friendly websites please visit http://www.google.com/webmasters.

Hi,
We're writing to let you know about important changes to Google Docs.

Google Drive is the new home for Google Docs

This means the 2 files that you own at informasi.international@gmail.com will now be available in Drive, and you can access them anytime at drive.google.com.

You can still do everything you could before, like create, share and collaborate with Google documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Now, you can access your stuff anywhere, find files faster, and work with more web apps.

Access your stuff anywhere.
With Drive, all your stuff is in the cloud, so you can access it wherever you are. And with the Drive desktop and mobile apps, it's much easier to upload and sync your files across all your devices. Drive is available for Mac, PC, Android, iPhone & iPad devices.

Find files faster.
Look for files by keyword and Drive searches everything — even text within scanned documents or images without any text at all. Drive also comes with a simplified navigation to help you better organize your files, and there's a new grid view to help you see thumbnails at a glance. Learn more about the new look and how to find your files.

Beyond Google Docs,
Drive now works with other web apps.
Google Docs are now stored in Google Drive, so you can continue to work with others in real time on documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Plus, Drive is integrated with a growing number of third-party apps, so you can do things like send faxes, edit videos and create website mockups all in one place.

On behalf of files everywhere,

Posterous Spaces

Hi informasiinternational,

I'm thrilled to announce that Posterous has been acquired by Twitter!

The opportunities in front of Twitter are exciting, and we couldn't be happier to bring our technology and expertise to hundreds of millions of users around the globe.  Plus, the people at Twitter are genuinely nice folks who share our vision for making sharing simpler.

You can find more information answers to other questions you may have here.

Finally, I'd like to offer thanks to everyone, especially those who have been with Posterous since day one. The last four years have been an amazing journey. Your encouragement, praise and criticism have made Posterous better, and I really appreciate everything you've done.

Thanks again and I look forward to building great things for you at Twitter.

Changes to Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service

Is this email not displaying properly?
View it in your browser.

Dear Google user,

We're getting rid of over 60 different privacy policies across Google and replacing them with one that's a lot shorter and easier to read. Our new policy covers multiple products and features, reflecting our desire to create one beautifully simple and intuitive experience across Google.

We believe this stuff matters, so please take a few minutes to read our updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Service at http://www.google.com/policies. These changes will take effect on March 1, 2012.

One policy, one Google experience
Easy to work across Google Tailored for you Easy to share and collaborate
Easy to work across Google

Our new policy reflects a single product experience that does what you need, when you want it to. Whether reading an email that reminds you to schedule a family get-together or finding a favorite video that you want to share, we want to ensure you can move across Gmail, Calendar, Search, YouTube, or whatever your life calls for with ease.

Tailored for you

If you're signed into Google, we can do things like suggest search queries – or tailor your search results – based on the interests you've expressed in Google+, Gmail, and YouTube. We'll better understand which version of Pink or Jaguar you're searching for and get you those results faster.

Easy to share and collaborate

When you post or create a document online, you often want others to see and contribute. By remembering the contact information of the people you want to share with, we make it easy for you to share in any Google product or service with minimal clicks and errors.

Protecting your privacy hasn't changed

Our goal is to provide you with as much transparency and choice as possible, through products like Google Dashboard and Ads Preferences Manager, alongside other tools. Our privacy principles remain unchanged. And we'll never sell your personal information or share it without your permission (other than rare circumstances like valid legal requests).

Understand how Google uses your data

If you want to learn more about your data on Google and across the web, including tips and advice for staying safe online, check out http://www.google.com/goodtoknow

Got questions?
We got answers.

Visit our FAQ at http://www.google.com/policies/faq to read more about the changes. (We figured our users might have a question or twenty-two.)

Notice of Change

March 1, 2012 is when the new Privacy Policy and Terms will come into effect. If you choose to keep using Google once the change occurs, you will be doing so under the new Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Please do not reply to this email. Mail sent to this address cannot be answered. Also, never enter your Google Account password after following a link in an email or chat to an untrusted site. Instead, go directly to the site, such as mail.google.com or www.google.com/accounts. Google will never email you to ask for your password or other sensitive information.

In just a few years, social networks have become an integral part of our daily lives; in fact, social media has become such a daily habit that 20% of our time online is now spent on social networks

To provide a glimpse of Americans’ social media resolutions in 2012, Posterous commissioned a study with Harris Interactive and published the findings at 2012socialmediaresolutions.com

When it comes to social media, we’ve all developed some bad habits.  So, with the help of True Blood star and Posterous geek Janina Gavankar, we ask you, "What's your New Year's social media resolution?"

Embedded media -- click here to see it.

To warm you up to the idea of sharing, we have several Kindle Fires to give away!

Choose one way to participate:

1. Tweet what your social media resolution is from 2012socialmediaresolutions.com. Make sure your tweet has the hashtag #SocialMediaResolution. The more you tweet, the more chances you have to win!

2. Submit a short video clip announcing what your social media resolution is to smnyr@posterous.com or by filling out this form.

3. Leave a comment on this blog post with your resolution.

The contest ends January 31st.

Let's get the New Year started the right way!
